Digital Product Designer
What do you do at The Techno Creatives?
The essence of my role is pretty straight forward: helping companies to translate their vision into new, understandable and aesthetically pleasing products that appeals to the many, may these products be digital or physical.
What were you doing before you came to work at The Techno Creatives?
Wrapping up my MFA in Advanced Product Design at the Umeå Institute of Design where I tried to improve health literacy for recently diagnosed, paediatric Crohn’s Disease patients.
What do you find to be the biggest difference in your daily experience now and before you worked at The Techno Creatives?
I’ll focus more on developing digital products, rather than physical. As I have been educated as an industrial designer, I have mainly interacted with researchers, mechanical engineers and other designers, not so much with developers. Also, I can walk to work rather than with the subway.
What do you find to be an important factor in your work culture?
Independence, a sense of trust and honesty. I thrive when the people around aren’t constantly looking over my shoulder, spontaneously drop by to see what I’m up to and are straight forward. It is crucial to feel comfortable with low-fidelity work, meaning the essence of your message should clearly be communicated and colleagues shouldn’t be afraid to show it.
Mention three things you like besides work
Looking at old buildings, watching all kinds of documentaries and surfing.
