Saab Concept Phoenix

Saab iQon is an Android based infotainment system that provides drivers with the possibility of downloading mobile applications to a vehicle in the same way as to a smartphone. A wide range of applications will be available in the Saab iQon store.

Today´s customers want to experience a computer platform that is intuitive and constantly updated. A modern car should provide all users with a seamless experience and hence be equipped with devices needed to achieve this. Today mobile smart phones allows users to be on the run and stay informed of the latest news relevant to their lives. The same accessibility provided via iQon ensures the customer is safely synched.

As head designers of the infotainment system in Saab's 'Phoenix' concept car NIB were responsible for the implementation of the Phoenix application. The application features a graphical interface inspired by Saab's aircraft heritage.
Features include speedometer, flight altitude meter, inclinometer, compass and UTC clock.

Along with the concept car, the app was revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
